Experienced on or around April 18th, 1998 - by Buried
Secrets, Secrets Are No Fun
I am unsure as to whether or not this could be considered a story, or just a detail along the lines.

When I was a child my mother was recently divorced from my father and dating numerous men to try and find 'The One.' A man she had met (whose name I will not disclose for obvious reasons) was related to a former president of the United States and hailed from Florida. He had decided to do something with his life that would amount to something important and for greater service to our nation. He joined the C.I.A. while he was dating my mother.

At first, he was calm, she told me when I was younger. Before he had left for training, he liked to joke a lot. That's what I liked about him, she said.

When he came back his face was completely different. It looked hard and distant, and he never laughed anymore. I tried to pry information out of him as to what had happened in training.

He never said anything specific. My mother was most interested in alien life, and she often asked him questions about it. Once he had nearly cracked and told her that there are dissections kept secret of things that he wasn't allowed to talk about, things that weren't human. That was the most she had ever gotten out of him, aside from subtle hints at alien life existing here and interacting with humans for years.

Shortly after his confession he moved and we have never heard from him since.

speaking as someone who works for an organization working alongside the CIA, i agree that they can be assholes, they do it "by the book" and the threat of "planet wide panic" kind of keeps their mouths shut for them, but i say, people deserve to know, this isn't the 50s

which is why i joined this forum.
