When I was in middle school, during the summer my dad called me one morning and told me there was a ufo over carteret nj. I was, and am a big ufo fan and aliens and all that jazz so I was excited. It was on the news that night and a few months ago, the TV show UFO Hunters on Scifi had a episode dedicated to it. If you want, google it right now. You can find info on it really fast.

Anyway, I live in the town next to it, port reading. Me and my cousin when ufo hunting our selves later that week cuz we were excited about it. We were in an open field looking into the distance, when we saw a light. Now we do live near a airport so my whole life I know what airplanes look like. This seemed perfectly normal, but we watched it anyway. It seemed like it was going down, then something weird happened. When it got close to the top of the trees (in the far distance) we saw a light flash up from the ground, and as soon as that random light flashed, almost like a huge camera flash of light ball flew up into the sky and disappeared at an amazing speed. It was crazy how fast it was. As soon as that thing was gone we saw at least 15 to 20 black cars going down our road. It was weird considering we are a really small town and it was 10 at night. No one was ever out, let alone 15-20 coming down the road.

Going back a little bit, the day that the carteret ufo appeared, but more towards the after noon instead of night, I was over my friends house when I saw in object sitting in the sky above me really high, higher than most planes. I showed my friend the object and it seemed to sit there for at least 30+ minutes. Later on like an hour or two I was walking home for dinner when I saw an object sitting over the tree line and I felt like it was watching me, because it was not moving at all. I ran into the house and to the back window where the object was, but it was gone. It was very strange, and I was a bit freaked out by it. Of course the very next morning they have that video and story of the UFO over Carteret which was amazing to me after seeing what I did earlier that day, I will never forget that.
