I was outside with my son, his neighbor friend and my wife. The kids were playing as my wife and I were doing some spring cleaning in the yard. I peered up and noticed a Jet Airplane in the northwestern sky. There was no mistake that this was simply a normal run of the mill commercial aircraft, as you could see the contrails and everything. However right next to it was a bright white "dot" in the sky. My immediate thought was that it was a planet like sirious. But after looking at it for a few seconds I came to realize that it was moving along with the Jet. Well, that can't be a planet I said to my self. So I quickly ran into the garage and grabbed my telescope.

After I returned I was disappointed to see that the object in the sky was getting very faint, and pretty much had disappeared before I could get the telescope set up. So.. I decided to look at the Jet while I had the telescope out. All of a sudden the object returned and was able to get a good look at it through the telescope. What I saw I couldn't believe! It was a typical "Flying Saucer" shaped aircraft that an extremely odd surface. It is hard to describe, but the surface look entirely as if it was glowing with different lines of colors sliding across it. I shouted, "someone come here and look at this!". The neighbor boy was the first one to make it to me and looked through the telescope. He said aloud, "Holy Crap, that's a UFO". I said, I think you're right. Just after that the object disappeared again, but this time for good.

I really wish I could have captured a photo of this, but unfortunaly this all happened so fast that I wasn't able to do any more than I did. Whatever this was that we saw was definitely not a satellite, a planet, a star or anything else that we know about.
