A Dragon/ Gaint bat sighting

Well I saw a giant thing with scales come out from my tree and fly away.

It was big green and made a noise like a dying animal. It was at night, but I had a light on cause I heard a rustle in the trees and I had my night vision goggles on so I could see!

My tree is big and is a macadamia nut tree

the commenter below me is right night vision goggles can alter the color of an object making it appear green. If it looked more like a dinosaur than a dragon i can help. I would need to know the details of the head and/or tail to further believe your story. In what general area are you located in i.e. US Mexico etc you might be along the creatures migratory path.

are you sure it was green? i mean you did have your night vision goggles on. also i thought that night vision goggles were sensitive to light.
