I Hear A Voice
It happened about four years ago. Before I go any further I have to tell you that I live in a large range home, so basically everything is on the first floor, and there is a finished basement where our laundry room is. On the first floor in the back of the house is the bathroom and the three bedrooms are in the back, then a hallway and then the kitchen, dining room, and the living room. At the time all my children were in the living room watching TV. I think they were watching cartoons at the time. So here I am cleaning my daughter’s room. I think I was dusting at the time. I came out of my daughter’s room to check on my laundry and while I was in the hallway to get into the dining room I heard a voice that said "Hello". I heard is clear as day and it was a woman’s voice. Of course, this did throw me off a little. Not very often do you hear a voice say hello to you and no one is in the area. I did say hello back. Mind you I was alone in the hallway and the kids were in the living room watching TV. I have not had that happen since and I believe it was my grandmother checking up on me and seeing how I was doing. I believe she is still looking after me after all these years.
Two of the women who work at the Ca State Indian museum say they hear voices either calling their names from the back of the museum, or singing. Both ladies are Indian. The voices come from a display of grinding stones and pictures of past Elders.
Sealegs and I are sisters and I had a similar experience. Her kids were over my house watching tv with my son in the living room. My house is not a rancher. I was going thru the hallway to get something out of my son's room when I hear a woman's voice in my right ear say hello. I did say hello back but then I stopped to think about what just happened. I haven't heard anything since. I too think that it was my grandmother stopping by.
I used to have similar experiences while I was at work.
I would be stocking something on the aisle, and out of nowhere, I would hear someone call my name.
Most of the time I couldn't make out the voice's gender, but it always seemed to me that the voice sounded like it belonged to someone who was in trouble.
