Great-grandmother's bedtime kiss

So, this is a very nice story. It’s not really a bad, creepy one. So it was around midnight and I was just finishing up my studies for school. The whole night I had felt something around me, like I was being watched. Every time I looked around, however, nothing was there but the feeling just would not leave! So around 1 am I went to sleep. Right before I fell into a complete sleep something grabbed my hand and woke me up. After that I started waking up. Ok so I know what you are thinking... it was your parents, but no! Their door was closed and they were snoring. I know for a fact that it wasn’t them.

So after my hand was grabbed (I am now fully awake) something kissed my forehead. It was very lovingly and very caressing, but it freaked me out. After this "ghost" kissed me the covers were pulled up. Ok, so when you’re lying in a bed and the covers get pulled up without you pulling them yourself, IT IS THE FREAKIEST THING EVER!!!! I then sat up in bed and saw a white figure, who I know was a "ghost" of some sort walk through my dresser and through my wall.

That morning I told my parents what had happened that night and my mom told me something that cleared things up a bit. My great-grandmother lived in the house that I live in now, and she stayed in my room. My mom also said that she may have even died in my room, but that's irrelevant. Now, apart from the other strange/weird feelings that I get, I think of her as my guardian angel.

I can understand the creepy factor of being kissed by an unseen person or watching your covers pull themselves up on their own. My family has a history of hauntings. My uncle passed away almost ten years ago, but he still occasionally gets in bed with my aunt and strokes her hair like he used to. When you're alone in my grandfather's house, you can still hear him walking around and closing doors in his room even though he's been dead since I was seven. The unseen can be frightening, but it can also be comforting to know that life goes on and that those we have "lost" are still with us--keeping an eye on their loved ones. How lucky you are to have a grandmother who checks in on you from time to time to tuck you in and give you good night kisses!
