Don't Ask
A couple of years ago I read a book on ghost by the lady that Ghost Whispers is about. She was telling that at a funeral the sprit of the deceased is always at the end of the coffin. She stated that she oftens goes to a funeral to speak to a ghost for a family member. A very good friend of mine died suddenly and when I went to the funeral I was at the foot of the casket and I told him he was always welcome at my house. About a week later strange things started to happen.

I would be sitting at the computer and out of the corner of my eye I would see something pass the doorway, but nobody was home with me. My wife would into the room and ask what I wanted because she said that she heard me call her, but it wasn't me. My oldest grandson who was about 12 or 13 at the time came to spend the night us. He went to take a shower and when he started to get in the shower he remembered that he had a splint on his finger because he had broken it. He took the splint off and laid it on the sink. He came out of the bathroom and wanted to know who threw the splint into the shower with him, my wife and I told him we had both been in the computer room and didn't do it and no one else was there. He then placed the splint on the desk to dry. When he went back to get the splint it was gone. He could not find it and when he was about to go home he asked my wife if she would buy him another one, because he had to go to school. I then spoke up and told the friend of mine that had died, that fun was fun, but my grandson needed the splint and to put it where we could find it. In just a few minutes we went into a room that was not being used at that time, because it was going to be remodled and we found the splint on the floor. My grandson was also about to take a shower and he left the door open a little because of what had happened before and he said he had the shower curtin open a bit and he saw an arm reach and close the door. He didn't use that bathroom again.

It got to be around Christmas and my wife had done a good job in the living room for Christmas and wanted me to take some pictures of the room so I did. We then went to her sister's house for Christmas Eve and I also took pictures. When we go home I looked at all of the pictures and one of the pictures I took at our house had a big round orb above the fireplace, I really do not think much of orbs but when I looked at the pictures at my sister-in-laws house in one with my wife and her three sisters there right in front of my wife looked like to be the very same orb. I told my wife that he had went with us. My wife would hear a voice calling her, lights would go on by themselves and my wife would see like silver glitter falling from the celing. My little dog Dixie would look up and start to growl. Then one night my dog was sitting on the couch with my wife and all of a sudden she yelped and jumped up scared, I then went to the computer room and she came with me and was sitting beside me, then again she jumped up and yelped and ran out of the room. I told my wife we could not have that, so I go a bottle of blessed oil and I told my friend that I loved him and the wife did to, but he could not stay at the house any longer because he was hurting my dog. I went into every room and did the same and also blessed each room. It has been over a year and nothing else had happened.

So if you don't want a ghost do not ask one to come home with you. This is all very true.

ghosts dislike dogs because they can sence their pressence and warn victims of their approach...so naturally they try to get rid of them...

Yeah, you never know who you're actually inviting home w/ you. Was your friend a bit of a prankster? It seems to me, most of the time the dead will act much as they did when they were alive.
