Like most of my stories I don't have proof, all I have is my own and other peoples personal experiances.

When I was little we had a ghost that liked mimicking sounds, conversations, foot steps, and ticking clocks. But upon my return from Iraq it seems he has found a friend, some kind of shadowy apparition. The shadow man appers in my room only to my knowledge. He seems more protective more then anything. When my door is open I can usally see what seems to be a head poping in and out of the doorway. If it is closed the corner nearest the door will get unimaginably dark, then it will look like it shrinks and it will go to the corner adjacent. It will repeat the process passing infront of my window until it makes it's way to the side of my bed where the tempiture drops aproxmatly 10-15 degrees, I know this because the theromoter in my atomic clock starts to drop.

This happens twice weekly but rarely on the same days. The mimic on the other hand you can hear everyday atleast a few times if the house is quiet. We think he is the one who breathed on my girlfriends neck while she was cooking. None of them scare me, none of them seem like they want to harm anyone. It's just an extra feature of my home.
