Bears, wolves and fire
Let's talk about my house for a minute. My house, which was ALWAYS the house in my dream, was out in the country but on a very busy road that lead into the city. I had an in-ground pool in the backyard that was fenced in, a big porch which had two sets of stairs, one leading to the right side which was the pool yard / entrance into the garage and one leading to the back yard which was large and had a forest at the back. The house itself was a bungalo with three bedrooms all in the same hallway, a bathroom across from one of the bedrooms, a living room with a window which nearly took up the entire wall it was on and gave you a nice view of the busy road out front, a kitchen with a window above the sink and a glass patio door. There was a set of like...5 stairs inside, next to the patio door, which led to another door that led out to the attached garage, then another set of larger stairs which led to the basement. The basement was open but had two rooms, a laundry room and a room I never really went into right across from it that was just used for storage and had our water heater in it. The basement was large but the house was old so it flooded a lot and we stuck with our cold, concrete floor after several attempts at installing carpet failed due to the constant flooding we'd get in the spring.

So now that you have a slight idea of what the layout of the house was I can continue. I usually slept in my grandmother's room, which was across from mine, because she usually slept in the living room on the couch and I couldn't sleep well in my room for some reason.(I blame the fact that I painted my walls red haha) My dream usually started with me leaving her bedroom. I'd go about my day, either invite a couple friends over or clean or whatever my dream-self might do to keep herself busy. However, the good times would stop when I would be in the kitchen, look out the window above the sink and see a single wolf. The wolf would wander around by itself, looking up at the porch like it wanted to get up there but it couldn't. The wolf looked like any other wolf but in my dream I would get this strong feeling of fear just by looking at it.

i'd leave the kitchen because I was so scared but whenever I went back the single wolf would suddenly be accompanied by a small pack of other wolves and they'd all be trying to get onto the porch. Sometimes in my dream my cat, who would go outside a lot of the time, would be in the pool yard and I'd want to go get him so he wouldn't get eaten but I'd be too frightened to actually leave so I'd just open the patio door and the screen door, call to him and a large part of my dream would be spent getting him inside so the wolves, who would watch me closely as I did this, wouldn't eat him. Every time this happened though, the wolves would manage to get into the pool yard or on the porch JUST as a managed to get him inside and close the glass door to the house. I'd start screaming as they scratched at the door, trying to break the glass, and I'd run into the basement to hide. However, every single time I'd go to the basement there would be a giant bear wandering around there. The bear would never take notice to me, however, and I would run back up the stairs, only to see that more bears had joined the wolves, as I passed the patio door to go to the bedroom.

In my dream I would run back and forth between the basement with the bear and the bedrooms, freaking out about what was going on. During the freak-out, the house would suddenly catch on fire, starting with the basement. I would run to the basement and the bear, seemingly un-phased by the fire or my presence, would just stand there and I'd try and get my pets (2 cats and a dog) out of the basement or bedroom (depending on the variation of the dream) or getting my grandmother and sister out of the house. (If my grandmother and sister were in the dream they would come and go randomly) The dream usually ended with me trying to gather everything/everyone that was important to me so I could leave the house and let it and the wolves/bears burn down with it. I'd usually wake up though before the house actually burned.

Now the weird part about this dream is that it was not only a reoccurring one, but I only had this dream when I lived in that house. When my family and I moved out I stopped having it. A few months after we moved out and I noticed that I hadn't had the dream anymore I told my grandmother about it and she told me that in the bible wolves and bears represent demons. (She's a very, very Christian woman) I'm not sure if I believe that but it would actually make a ton of sense. My old house was old and I could swear it was haunted. There were a couple times where I noticed some strange things happen and even my grandmother with her strong Christian background, has told me about strange things happening there. So was this dream just something to warn me of the spirits that lived there or what? Weirds me out even to this day.
